Default Need help deciding on Rotors

Hi fellows.
I need to change my rotors and brake pad this weekend. I figure i start searching to see where i can order these cheap and quick. I am looking for a Drilled Slotted rotors for my '02 ZO6. I need help deciding between brakeperformance, StopTech and Baer DecelaRotor Brake Rotors unless someone else have some other rotors they want to point me to.

The 1st runner up is the breakperformance:
http://brakeperformance.com/site/bra...0408&ad=direct for all 4 set for $347 and it comes with free pads.

2nd runner is the StopTech's http://www.pfyc.com/pc/GN4026/VTSUSP...d+Drilled.html and total for all 4 rotors looks like it will run me $356.98

And here is the link to Baer http://www.corvettegarage.com/produc...-corvette.html and all 4 rotors: $469.00

PS: I have looked at rockauto and i didn't see no drilled and slotted rotor there. I might order the ceramic brake pads from there if i don't go with the break performance rotors that comes with free break pads.

I went with Baer Eradispeed all around. Lighter, and the larger rear rotor completes the great look.

I tried ordering the Stoptech rotors from PFYC.com and after 5 weeks of waiting they had to refund my money because they werent actually available form their supplier. I'd go another route if your looking for those rotors other than PFYC.com. They had great customer service but it appears they cant get those rotors.

Check out the carbotech bobcat 1521 brake pad.

The Carbotech Bobcat 1521™ is our high performance street compound that is our most successful compound. The Bobcat compound is known for its awesome release and modulation, along with unmatched rotor friendliness. Like our AX™ & XP™ line of compounds, Bobcat 1521™ is a Ceramic based friction material offering minimal rotor damage and non corrosive dust. Bobcat 1521™ offers outstanding performance, even when cold, low dusting and low noise with an excellent initial bite. This compound’s virtually perfect linear torque production provides incredible braking force without ABS intervention. Bobcat 1521™ operating range starts out at ambient and goes up to 900°F. Bobcat 1521™ is suitable for ALL street cars, perfect for your tow vehicle, police cruiser, and has won multiple SCCA Solo 2 and Prosolo National Championships. The Bobcat 1521™ compound has been found to last two-three times longer than OE pads you can purchase at a dealership or national retailer. Bobcat 1521™ compound has also been found to extend the life of your rotors 2-3 times. That’s one of the beauties of Carbotech Ceramic brake compounds. Bobcat 1521™ is NOT recommended for any track use.

I went with some FLEABAY rotors and pads. All four corners drilled and slotted rotors for $160 shipped and ceramic pads for all four corners for $58 shipped.

I received the pads a few days ago. I'm waiting for my rotors and new wheels to arrive so I can make a photoshoot.

I'll report back with my findings once the brakes are installed. If your interested in the sellers names, shoot me a PM.

I think you need to look at what you want the pads/rotors to do. If you are going to be doing any road racing or autocrossing I would recommend a plain rotor with a high performance pad. I personally went with a cryostop plain rotor with a Hawk ceramic pad. I am active in my local autocross group and I drive an 02 z06. Every time that I go out the pro begs me drive my car and has the last 3 races turn the fastest lap time......He keeps saying to me" I have to get me one of these"

Thats my 2 cents....You will hear several stories on what to do and what not to do...
