Cutting chrome cover
I bought a chrome cover for the area between the throttle body & air bridge. It is 2 inches to long. Is it possible to cut this without messing up the chrome?

If it is metal you can but the chrome may chip. If it is plastic you can take some masking tape and run it right where you want to cut. The masking tape will protect it while you cut. It still may pull up or chip around the edges if the masking tape is not pulled towards the cut edge.

using a thin cut dremel wheel, pack the back side of the object to be cut with a thick stack of wet newspaper. it will absorb the heat. this plus going slow will lessen the chance of discoloring the chrome
