Question about tire size
I am currently running a 19/20 combo on my C5. I would like to buy a pair of Nitto 555r for the rear for some weekend drag racing. I would like to use my 18" wagon wheels. What is the widest size I can get on the rim and not come in contact with the fender?

Go to a website like tirerack.com
Look up tire style and size you are interested in.
Check to see what recommended rim widths are.
With the wagon wheels. you will not have to worry about rubbing fenders. The rims are too narrow to properly accomodate a tire that wide. The front rims are only 8.5 inches wide and the rears 9.5 inches wide.

You might be able to go with 285's or 295's, but according to the Tire Rack the 295's are meant for a wheel with at least a 10" width I believe.

Why not do a little research over there?
The best set up for drag racing is a narrow front tire and a wide rear tire. If you are serious about drag racing look into what's called a drag pack.

The drag racing section doesn't have the audience of the general forum. Lots of experience here. But I will give it a try.
