I'm waiting to get my multifuntionswitch shipped so I can replace it and I was wondering if I can still drive the car during the day without it installed? The current one is shot and removed. The weather here is so nice its killing me. I just want to drive it around the neighborhood to keep it charged, plus nobody in Chicago uses turnsignals anyway.

Turn signals are a required safety item so if you drive without them, you're at your own risk. I don't understand why anyone with turn signal problems due to a faulty hazard switch doesn't use Richards bi-pass cable!
I can't use the bypass, the plastic **** in the switch melted causeing my lights to pop up over night and it killed the battery. I was just making sure that the car would start with out it installed, I assumed it would. My brake lights will still work, won't they. I know the switch also caused some people to lose thier lights as well.
