Default should I?...

I have found an 03 with 9K MILES!!! cam, headers, exhaust, o/r xpipe, ported stock heads a few houndred miles away. The guy claims he wont take less than $25,000 + sales tax, but when I told him good luck he was like "well if you want to come up here and see it, let me know... you really have to drive it to appreciate this car. That is a little on the high side of what I was looking to spend but what do you guys think? What should I go in there and offer him? I imagine with only 9k miles it couldnt have been abused too much...

please dicuss class...

Thanks in advance,
Josh

yes its a Z. 03Z with 9k miles with the above mentioned mods... spoke to the guys who built the car and he said it made 420whp on their mustang dyno... I equated this to about 450-460 on a dynojet.

A 2003 with 9k miles for $25k is a very good price, let alone a healthy modified one.

Just cause it has 9K miles doesnt mean the engine/drivetrain hasnt been trashed and raced the living daylights out of it on road courses for past 7 years. Its always buyer beware....These cars are not driven by little ol ladies that only take then to the grocery store.

the gentleman who owned it was a gentleman named tim samples and from what I gather from the shop who built it he was an elderly 65yo man.

Wow that is an outrageous asking price for that car. No but seriously that is a good deal and you should know that. Car has only 9k miles on it with those mods makes it a very reasonable deal. Post pictures after you buy it, if not post the contact info because I have been looking for a car similiar to this one.

Sad to say, this pretty much describes my driving habits, and my car is more modified than the one for sale.

Actually most Vettes are hardly driven. Even the modified ones.

That's a sweet deal. I paid $34.5K two years ago for my 03 Z06 with 7k miles and then spent $8k on H/C/LT's/FAST 90/90....If were to do it all again I'd be looking to buy the exact car that you just found.
