Removing body side molding (BSM) is documented here and will try to find you a thread. You will need fishing line (20 lb test), gloves and a sticky remover (3M). Some use a hair dryer or heat gun to soften the tape as you are sawing. Take the front fender piece off first to see if paint fade will leave a shadow in which case you will need to probably put it back on or paint the whole car.
The rims are HRE (www.hrewheels.com) and probably are in the $5000 a set range.
Good luck on the removal........
mine is a 1998 its been garaged most of the years deff thro all the winters but im still scared about the paint being faded a lil bit. i wouldnt say im the most handy of people so this is why doing this scares me a lil bit. i deff hate that trim and have considered removing it myself before. Does anyone have details instruction on how to remove them????
