Default Don't buy these

I don't remember if this is the place to bash vendors but here goes. Do not buy the vinyl letter kits from Corvette Specialty of California. They do not stick and are cheap made. They also charged $10.71 for shipping and the decals came in a 44 cent usps envelope. I hope they are not a supporting vendor but I don't want to see anyone else waste their money.

Does anyone know where to get some of these in light oak for the dash letters ? I was hoping for some raised ones if there are any but just decals will be okay.

Damn, this is the second thread like this I've seen this week...and I don't know where the first one went, but I have an idea. Let's hope this is not a pattern forming with the aftermarket dudes.

Supporting Vendor or not,if they're selling crap,we want to know about it.(at least I do)
For what they ALL charge for Vette accessories,it'd dayum well be a quality piece of merchandise.

I am not saying a lot of the vendors are not out of line on the pricing, But you have to remember they are running a bussiness, They have employees they have to pay for, When you see shipping 10 bucks for a sticker there is handling in there also, You can't expect them to sell you a 1.00 item and pay an employee to pull it, package it and send it for 45 cents... Just being realistic.

AFAIK they are NOT a supporting vendor...

that being said IF anyone has a problem with a supporting vendor you need to post it according to the forum rules.

Ted, take a look at Cyberdinegraphics.com. They have the raised letters and logos with great quality. I looked for a long time for quality letters for the air bag and a good steering wheel emblem. I have a 50th anniversary coupe and they had the 50th specific logo for the steering wheel and it is SH. I have read mixed reviews on the forum of their products and service but for me everything, quality, service, and price was fantastic. I would use them again in a micro second if they had anything else I needed. God luck!

Most vendors chagre by order value rather then shipping weight and size, which then translates to a $30 shipping charge on a item that should cost maybe $8 to $10 to ship. There are other factors such as pulling and packaging the item, but 3 times the cost is outrageous!

I will try here Thanks !! Also I have ordered from souther car parts and they are a good vendor ! As far as the handling part of the charges go a reputable business should not hide their profit in the shipping charges allowing them to falsely mark down their parts to look competitive. The employees are the cost of doing business and the markup to cover this should be in the parts not hidden in the shipping where you can't see the real cost until the last page of an order form. I will always avoid doing business with companies that do this. I have now learned that if they follow this practice they are probably trying to stick it to you in other ways too. Any vendors that read this please take note. If everyone would stop ordering from places that mark up the shipping perhaps this would change.

I don't reccomend the decals for the FRC's. The engine heat causes them to peel up

Well said, though everytime you talk bad about a supporting vendor on here the thread gets locked after the vendor has defended their side of the story. Almost like they are protected.

Been there done that. 1 oz part $15.00 to ship Not Eck but one of the "other" suppliers of Corvette parts.

Now I buy local vs these companies unless it is a large item.

I also bought Lloyd mats in Lt oak. I was shipped Champagne. Never could convince them they sent the wrong color. All I got was bla bla,, color variations are not warrantable. So now I really consider what I buy from whom. What happened to customer service AND quality control.

I'm being nice and not mentioning the co. names, because I might be the only ones with these issues. If you really want to know you can PM me.
