Money is not the issue, but this is a daily driver and I've heard the optimum's advantage is really with deep cycle for cars that sit alot.
Getting 5 years out of the stock one almost makes me want to get the same one, but I can't find them by me.
Thanks
I would get a ACDelco Professional grade 7YR battery with a 50 month free replacement warranty.
My battery on my 2004 Z06 had a cell go bad, and that is what I got. No problems to date.
As more Optimas get in use, the more people are seeing that they fail just like any other battery. Leave those and other batteries like them to the people that never drive their cars. If yours is a daily driver like mine, the stock battery is as good as any, and a 50 month free replacement is the best in the industry.
Obviously, you don't worry about leaks since yours is a top post battery.

I use a standard NAPA battery. no problems at all. Too bad you dont live close by you could have my Optima Red Top. Pure junk. I put the warranty replacement in my old Dodge Power Wagon and that one crapped out too. Never again.

Believe it or not...I'm having a hard time finding a battery at Autozone, Pepboys, Advance Auto etc.
I needed it right away, but they all said they'd have to order it..??????
