I got caught in a thunder storm yesterday wile driving 60 down the highway, visibility was poor , and all the sudden I was hydroplaning and thought I was a goner ,looked down at dic and it said traction control active, The vette stead in a strait line and water was flying all around the car slowed down and caught my breath . ty god, put the car in garage, and blow dry it , the car came threw it and is just as clean and shiny as it was yesterday, after washing and waxing. ty chevy for making this car safe

TC will also save your azz when you get too excited and think you can drive like a race car driver. Or -it will completely embarrass you when you try to look cool in front of your friends, whichever way you want to look at it
I took a road trip shortly after getting the car. Was cruisng about 70 on an interstate in some light rain when it really started coming down. All of sudden the car started to feel strange and I realized it was applying the brakes and cutting the power automatically because the wheels started to loose traction and the car was hydroplaning slightly. All I could remember was thinking WOW! what a great car!
Its really neat when you take a corner really fast and can feel the brakes coming on to keep you from loosing it.

sorry bill, that is what I thought , because I have driven other cars that swapped ends and did 360s in that situation . so I felt very lucky
thank you all for your responses, and save the wave
glad to hear you pulled out of it. got pretty lucky! seen/heard alot of times it just breaking loose and going into spins. cant do much with it then except hold on.
think the c5 hydroplanes bad? hahaha. my ws6 with goodyear gsd3's would get loose if it misted. pathetic.
My 94 Trans Am GT was a BI*CH in the rain, and then to add insult to injury, after many miles of not using the breaks, they would ALWAYS be wet and not work AT ALL for about 100 yards.
TC and AH are the BOMB
