Default Vin#

Hey there, yeah, I just got my package from the Corvette Museum containing a fresh reprint of the original window sticker and build sheet, little black book of all the codes and original dealer brochure. They also included a breakdown of my VIN#. Here's yours:1G1YY22G7W5106337...starting at the far left...1 indicates car was built in the USA...G indicates car was built by General Motors...1=car is a Chevrolet...YY22=car is a Corvette Coupe...G=car has the LS1 engine, 5.7 liter SFI V8...7= a check digit and will vary...W='98 model...5=car was built at Bowling Green Ky...106337=car was the 6,337 built, and according to my sheet there were 31,084 built that model year...19,235 were coupes...11,849 were convertibles. The information they sent me told me lots of things I would never have known about my car, also a '98 coupe. Options, gear ratio, etc. Look into their website, good information, good to become a member.

Wow, thanks Dennis. Can you tell me if it's ever been in an accident?
Thanks, Eric

I would be happy to run a GM vehicle history report and option list for you. You can just email it to me directly.
