I think the C5 is a much nicer looking car then the C6. C6 looks like its smiling. I do like the Zr1 though. The power really makes me like it a lot. I wonder how long it'll be until its $20,000. Looks like Im going to hang on to my C5 for a long time

The C5 to me has the shape of a beautiful woman laying down with wonderful curves and a nice butt.... it is just beautiful from almost any angle.. The best angle is from the rear left corner about 4 feet high showing the butt end towards the front, wow, got to go take a shower now.... I'd guess I'm going to stick with the C5...

I prefer the C5 styling but I also think the C6 is very good looking car and a worthy successor.
I'm a happy and proud Vette owner when I'm driving either one of mine.
Wish I had more garage space.

I'd love to own a C6. I think the headlights should've been changed a long time ago. To those who don't think non pop ups belong on a Vette, umm have you ever seen the original Corvettes? I think they look good and have a great power plant backing them. I'd definitely own one if I could.

It is a tough choice......Until you take a drive in a C6

As far as styling, the nod goes to the C5 because of its timeless lines. I wish I could have kept my '04 instead of trading it for my '09 but the C6 is great car. A very refined version of the C5 with more power. The styling of the C6 grows on you

I thought I would miss my '04 (and I do....) but the moment I pulled out of the dealership and hit skinny pedal, the roar from the dual-mode exhaust helped me to get over my sentimental attachment to the '04 pretty quick.

You won't regret trading up to a C6 if you so choose. If you can keep the C5 as a stable mate, do it....

Pointless thread, but since I'm here...

Thoughts:

Any Corvette made after 1962 isn't really a Corvette. It could have been named anything under the sun with it's new suspension, body, etc. The name could be changed because they literally were/are different cars.

The "pop-up headlight" being demanded by "purists" is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard regarding cars. If you were a "purist" you would agree that having OPEN headlights (like the 53 ~ 62) is better with less movng parts to fail and several other details.

For everyone that dislikes a hacked tail and round lamps there is sure to be someone who doesn't like the phat ghetto butt of a c5.

Let's start ganging up on c4 owners next. (here's a news flash, the c5 is already the next c4 in many ways)

Blah, blah, blah blah blah........

20 grand?

With the massive inflation about to hit starting next year (thanks to obomo) you'll see the number value RISE on your c5 in coming years.... It's just that the paper is worth less. Pretty soon 20 grand will buy a new Chevy Cavalier that's made in China.

I disagree w/ the OP... the C5's most dated features are the excessively long front and rear overhangs. The C6 look strim and taught in comparison.

I think they put so much emphasis on the front and rear, they forgot about the sides.... I affectionately call the C6 the "Fleetside Vette" The C6Z06 is a 1000x's sexier with its flared rear 1/4 panels and cooling ducts.

I was recently in the local Chevy dealership to pick up some touch up paint, and on the way out a salesmen came out and asked if I was interested in buying a new C-6 coupe. I have a 2003 50th edition in excellant condition and it has 13K miles on it. But I figured what the hell I'll listen to his pitch. Said he'd give me KBB plus 25 % over the price. So I looked at a few that were out on the lot all of them were 2008. And I have to admit, I like the C-6, don't know much about them or how to read all the options, and what they mean, but he wanted for me to take a test drive, I said, "Thanks, But No thanks !" I like what I have, and ah, I'll stick with my 2003. But the C-6 is a very nice Vette ! They seem to be having trouble selling off the 2008 models?

The c6 is a looker outside the base models. The z06, zr1 & GS (targa & vert) look awesome...but the coupe & vert look too damn plain

That's the best angle to view a woman as well....

IMHO, one of the only dated things in the C5 is the center console.
