Default LS3 Motor in C5

I've been thinking of upgrading my noisy head/cammed LS1 to a better engine. Maybe an LS3. I was wondering if anybody has done it and if so what is necessary to make a complete engine install. Where is a good place to get a new engine?? Overall cost? etc....

It's $8895 installed at ECS (in New Jersey I believe)

See this recent thread on their LS3 package deal:

ordered my LS3 418 strocker for my 2001 from Billy Briggs Performance in MI about 4 weeks ago and it is arriving this week with Wiesco pistons, Callies crank, upgraded piston rings for a 250 shot of NOS, ARP bolts and more for just over $5,000

I'll be using most of the parts off of the LS1 to transplant onto the LS3 motor and I believe the front engine cover is also needed for this conversion and it is also include.

Just had mine H&C LS1 swapped for an LS3 crate engine. The Vette Doctors added their custom blower cam and an A&A Vortech SI Trim supercharger. I'm having a ton of fun with mine. When I'm not in boost, I can feel that the LS3 (with cam) is noticably more powerful than my H&C LS1.

Give the Vette Doctors a call at 631-841-0779 and ask for Carmen or Dennis.
