Default tire sizes?!

Ok so I bought set of replica blk z06 wheels 18 all the way around, and I ordered set of 275/40/18 for rears and I'm wondering if i orderd the right size for front 245/40's. Should I have ordered 245/45?

that would depend on the width of the wheels.

For my previous setup, I had 245/40 on my 18x8.5 fronts. I had 295 on my 10" rears so i would guess that 275 would be okay for the standard 9.5" wide size.

If your car is a 97-2000 and has both Traction Control and Active Handling, you want to keep the rear tire overall diameter at least 1/2 inch taller than front tire overall diameter to keep the active handling from kicking in constantly. On the 97 through 2000 cars Active Handling was an option so not all cars have it. If yours does have the AH you want to observe the 1/2" guideline or risk having to constantly put the car into Comp mode to prevent the issue with Active Handling. If you don't have AH then you can pretty much run what you want as long as they don't rub something that could damage the tire.

If your car is a 2001 or later then the car came equipped with both Traction Control and Active Handling. For those cars you also want to observe the 1/2" guideline. If you don't you may find tourself having to put the car into Comp mode everytime you start it up to avoid issues with the AH constantly kicking in.
Awsome thanks

265/35/18 or 275/35/18 will work fine on the front, and be compatible with your chosen rear tire size and wheel width.
