quick run down- 04, vert, auto, 19000 miles. May just not of noticed before, but just installed new cat back and now under hard acceleration when the car shifts to 2nd gear there is a some what tinny sounding loud snap from the rearend. My guess maybe the tires are breaking loose a little and this is the limited slip kicking in. First the noise seemed to come from the pass side only but tonight i herd from the pass side first and a split second later from the drivers side. One of my other thoughts is the fiber-glass leaf. any ideas fellas???

Have you got back under there to take a "CLOSE" look to see if anything is hitting or rubbing when it shifts?
Get a flash light a browse around and look closely for any signs of wear or hitting!
Also make sure that when you re-installed your new exhaust that you put the muffler tabs in the top part of the Rubber Hangers and not the lower ones where it can slide from side to side
