corvette plant tour?

Heading to Kentucky in August. Any idea if the plant is open and does it give tours? with all this ownership stuff from the govt i'm wondering who's next on the chopping block. Also, has anyone seen a sketch of the C7?

Normally, the plant tours were scheduled for August like normal. However, now the "bankruptcy issues" may affect the normal schedule. As Norm said, you can go to the NCM web page, or you can go to the corvette assembly plant page, or even easier yet, you can call 270-745-8419 or 270-745-8019. These are the numbers to the Corvette Plant Tour Information Office. Good luck,

Not sure of anything concerning GM these days. However, if you can get into the factory for a tour it will be a great expierence. It's truly a world class, state of the art facility.

I think the Corvette plant is supposed to be shutdown for 9 weeks, so you need to call ahead.

I thought about calling the Whitehouse but then they'd want my VIN and all that...

I do appreciate the phone numbers and the info on the website. Seems like some are media-heads are talking like the Vette is soon to be gone. Guess nothing is safe with the new GM (Government Motors). So I'll call this week and let you know what they say. Thanks again. '
