Default Reduced power Check traction system code

I was coming home today when a guy on a harley pulled up next to me & asked about my exhaust. He said he has a 2006 & wants it to sound louder. He asked me to step on it a bit from the stop light. I turned off the traction control & when it turned green, I stepped a bit into the throttle. As it shifted into 2nd, it broke loose & I backed out of it. All of a sudden, the display started dinging & saying reduced power, service traction system. The engine light also came on. The throttle would only partially work. I quickly pulled into the gas station & shut it off. I checked the oil level, belts & all under the hood looked ok. When I started it up again, it seemed to run ok but the service engine light is still on. I have never had this happen before nor read about it on the forum.

Any suggestions?

i was driving mine today and all power cut off, and would only accellerate up to 50 mph. I turned off traction control and I had full normal control of the throttle, but if I put t/c back on, the speed limit was 50 mph again. Didn't get any codes but had the check or service message on the DIC. weird. thoughts?

i think my issue is from non-stock size tires. the DIC said something like "Traction Sys Activated". 295/30/18 fronts and 315/30 rears. 25.1 inches tall in front, 25.5 rear.

i put stock z06 wheels/tires on today and no more issue. I guess 25.1 front and 25.5 isn't big enough difference for the computer. No biggy since I don't use traction control on the track anyway.
