Sucks that someone couldn't leave your car alone. Good luck getting it repaired and hope you can somehow find out who did the damage.

You will start having vivid dreams about walking around the corner and CATCHING the bastard in the act............it will help with the anger.

Here is my story with my new BMW (a couple years back).

My wife and I walk out of our hotel at the beach and proceed to the rear parking lot where my shiny, blue 325i is parked. Six hundred miles and just loving life.

We walk around the corner at the entrance of the parking garage and notice that the trunk and drivers side rear door are open on the car next to mine. The family is milling around their sedan, packing things in the trunk and getting ready to buckle everyone in and drive away.

I notice that the rear passenger door on their Impala is making contact with my car and move towards the scene. I observe a young boy lying on his back with his legs on the interior of the door in the Chevrolet. He is having a fit,........kicking the door over and over again,...... dinging, chipping and thrashing and trashing the rear passenger door of my new from Germany, sports sedan.

I calmly ask him to stop, close the door to his car and move to the glove box of my car to get my disposable Kodak. I begin taking pictures of the damage, them and their license plate. I asked them for insurance information and long story short and 1300.00 later, the car is good as new.

If we had arrived at the car 10 minutes later, the parents would have noticed the damage, closed the door, started their car and quickly left the premises.

The chances of them leaving a note ? Sorry Mr. Cleaver, this isnt the 50's.

We live in a world without a majority of stand up, TCB, do the right thing people.

I hope the repair goes well and is low cost.

Tell us what you use and post the results. This stuff happens all the time,......intentional or not.

Sorry to hear about your car.

This is really getting to be an epidemic!

Hope you catch the a**hole and make him/her pay.

Since my verte is not my DD, it's gotten to the point where I only drive it when I won't leave it parked for any length of time or to Corvette-specific events and other car enthusiast shows.

People who don't aspire to owning a Corvette or other nice sports car would rather (weakly) show their frustration and displeasure that you own one by damaging it. That's easier than getting their financial house in order and setting a goal.
The recession doesn't have anything to do with it. Normally those animals (sorry I can't call them people) are the future of our country. Yes the future is scary

What is the world coming to? I remember when I was young or when I seen a nice car ever, I look at it but ALWAYS make sure that I do NOT touch it. Some people are such A$$h0l#$ out there. I can not believe how someone would do this to someone elses property.

I hope you find out who did it and the judge makes a GOOD example out of this person(s).

Good luck

That's because you were taught how to respect other people and their property probably by your parents or other influental adults. Today, it's "society's responsibility" for failing the children and not teaching them things like respect, honesty and character.

A valet at the mall? That's pathetic.

These are the kids that when they were growing up mommy and daddy would go and buy them trophys for making the stickball game, finishing a test,or anything that a normal kid would just do, Now that mommy and daddy arent around to buy that trophy, the TROPHY is your car sitting in that parking place. And they are upset with life. Every one of them should
have there little a@$# kicked to let them know their are no more TROPHYS.

Ok guys some of you are saying park up front, believe or not my car was in the front of Barnes & Noble at the Galleria Mall, the time was 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, lots of people walking and driving past in the parking lot, I was only in the store for 19 mins got 2 books for $30.00, those 2 books end up costing me a total of $830.00 bucks after walking out the store sucks big time and no there are no cameras in the parking lot. I learned a good lesson never park your vett at the mall its not safe. Some of you guys will say its only a car well this goes to show you its not only a car to some its a target.
