They are just stock LS6 heads, not ported. It was tuned on a Dynojet 248H. Like I said in the original post, temps were not ideal, it was over 90 degrees and had rained briefly so humidity was high. My tuner believes the car is good for over 400rwhp under better conditions.
FYI the Dynojet is correcting for atmospheric conditions. So you could dyno on a 120 degree day in the Amazon or a 15 degree day in the arctic and the numbers should be the same. The uncorrected numbers will vary widely though.
Me too... the first tune that was done on my Z06 w/ my G5-X2 was a joke. They couldn't get it to hot start, couldn't get it to idle in traffic, and wanted to drill the throttle-body. I was then told I made a bad cam choice and that the cam would never make the numbers LGM advertised because it was all "internet fluff" and that cam would never make torque because it was "so exhaust biased". Left w/ a horribly running car making 424 rwhp and 372 rwtq... pre-cam numbers were 382/378. The car was a dog down low below 4500 rpms.
2nd tuner (Ed Hutchings) did a real tune on the car keeping it for 2 days and remapping the VE tables. The car put down 436 rwhp and 397 rwtq all with a safer tune. Amazingly I had my low end torque back. The original tune was lean and my injectors were at 106% duty cycle... awesome for a car that was seeing VIR 5-6 times a year. CAM told me that "you don't need injectors until you're over 470 rwhp" instead of looking at the duty cycle. 2nd tuner re-tuned my car for free after I put in 42s.
So... at the end of the day... I no longer do business with CAM. Just an FYI to the OP. If you google there are many more stories like mine.
Wow, well I had no idea there were CF members here with bad experiences like that... I have known Jeff Creech for over 8 years and he has done all the work on my previous LT1 Camaro Z28 and now my 2001 Vette, and I have always been happy with his work. I am sorry to hear that others have had some pretty bad experiences.
