I was removing the battery to give the area a clean and the wrench touched the wires going into the fuse box making a connection between the battery live and the wires. Now no power.
Help needed! Where do I look? Am I in for a new alternator?
We live and learn. Heard about one guy here in the forum who connected a charger to his battery but messed up and set it to 24vdc instead of 12. Cooked everything.

Many cars have inline circuit breakers as well as fuses. I know they are in the headlight wiring on some cars. Perhaps that type of fuse was interupted and reset itself on your car. Just a guess.
Are you kidding? The engine compartment seems to be a magnet for dust! I've never seen a car like it. Everyweekend I have to get in there, this time I thought I'd clean around the battery. Anyway, all good now, was crapping myself at first as I thought big bills about to drop on me.

Are you suggesting a circuit breaker is in there somewhere? Interesting!
Also, did you have any aftermarket mods done on your wiring under the dash, like a hyperflash harness, electrical mod for Euro tail lights or anything else unusual? I'm still haunted by the fire destruction of your Vette.
