My driver side power will not work. Passenger side OK. Since it is raining here have not been able to check fuse(s). And since it is only one window INOP I have a feeling it is either the push button switch or the AUTO up/down switch in the door. I have an extended warranty so Government Motors can fix it. I just wanted to eliminate the stupid stuff before I take it to the dealer.
Anyone one else had this problem? If so, what was the fix.

I had that problem before. Was the driver's window motor which needed replacing. Not a cheap fix if that's the cause.
It has started working again. It sat for 3 weeks so I'm assuming one of the door window switches may have been stuck. Opening and closing the door may have freed the switch up.
The motor and drive gear was probably stuck.
I have found that if you bump the window down a fraction of an inch from the full up position to unload the motor and drive assembly it reduces the chances it will happen again.
The window regulator does not use limit switches. The motor just drives the glass up against the stops until the motor stalls.
I have had brand new window regulators stick, so I know the motor itself is not the problem.
If it ever quits completely, you will probably need to replace the regulator assembly, which costs about $400 from a dealer. You can also get used ones, or have yours rebuilt for $100.

exactly, what happens. The regulator will get jambed up sometimes. While pushing the window switch down tap the top of the glass with your hand and it will pop loose if the motor hasn't actually failed. If this happens to you again, of course.
