Default Simple question:

Hey, i just wanted to check, how do the red engine covers come off the top of a C5 motor?
Im assuming they just pull upward? but im terrified of breaking them.. not so easy to get them in Ireland! lol

Cheers,
Terry.

Pull them up and then you can flex the area where the fuel line goes through to get the driver's side cover off.

If you paint them ,upon replacing the, tape the fuel lines to keep from chipping your new paint.

Hi Terry, start along the outter edges of each side and lift upwards. Once that side is loose them you can easily lift off the inner sides. For the side with the oil fill cap - you'll have to remove the cap first, and on the side with the fuel line(s), you'll have to work the fuel line out of the cutout in the cover. Th covers are fairly flexable so you shouldn't break them.
