If you are wondering if an underdrive pulley will keep your AC from keeping up with the hot Texas summer, the answer is no. I have a 25% udp and have had no issues with the AC. Got the pulley in the fall of 07.
Interesting. I have a 25% Powerbond UDP, is there a smaller belt, close to the engine at the back of the pulley driving the a/c compressor?
I have the 25% Powerbond too.
Yes, there are 2 belts...the 4 rib belt closest to the engine drives the a/c compressor. On the Powerbond, this pulley is stock diameter, and uses the stock length belt.
The outer 6 rib belt drives all the other accessories - power steering pump, alternator, water pump. This is what's underdriven, and uses a shorter-than-stock belt.
