Underdrive pulley question

Do aftermarket underdrive pullies also underdrive the AC compressor?

If you are wondering if an underdrive pulley will keep your AC from keeping up with the hot Texas summer, the answer is no. I have a 25% udp and have had no issues with the AC.

Got the pulley in the fall of 07.

Some do, some do not.

SLP and Powerbond do not underdrive a/c.

ASP, and some ATI underdrive a/c by 10%.

Mine did and for the other problems it caused it wasn't worth doing.

Interesting. I have a 25% Powerbond UDP, is there a smaller belt, close to the engine at the back of the pulley driving the a/c compressor?

I have the 25% Powerbond too.

Yes, there are 2 belts...the 4 rib belt closest to the engine drives the a/c compressor. On the Powerbond, this pulley is stock diameter, and uses the stock length belt.

The outer 6 rib belt drives all the other accessories - power steering pump, alternator, water pump. This is what's underdriven, and uses a shorter-than-stock belt.
