Default More ??????

Just had a procharger installed, was told I needed a harmonic balancer, then found out it wasnt installed due to the fact that i had MENTIONED upgrading the block in the winter. I was told "we'll just do it then" Is this important now that I already have the supercharger installed, and in my opinion, is not running right. Also should the spark plugs have been changed to a cooler set? Don' think this was done either. Any and all information is encouraged!!!!!

I still have the factory balancer on my car. Yes you should run a colder plug. Also a fuel injector upgrade as well as a dyno tune. If your crank wasnt pinned I would get that done. That pinning kit usually gets done if a shop installs everything. Otherwise you have to remove the steering rack etc to pin the crank.

If your car wasnt dyno tuned that is why it feels as it isnt running right. The computer has no clue what to do with all that extra air and fuel.

Let me tell you what other mods i have, sorry i should have listed these
headers, etc... full all the way back
ported TB, and Manifold, ported heads, 2bar SD tune.
60lb injectors

I'm not sure if the crank was pinned. is this an extra cost or should it have come with the procharger kit> Or should they have suggested that anyway since i was already spending $$$$$$$$

If you bought the blower kit form a shop and heas dhtem do the install most of them will include the pinning kit. Otherwsise they should recommend it. If they didnt say anything to you about it, im sure this was never done. It could or couldnot of been an extra cost. Think about it, several grand to purchase and have this kit installed, they should be nice and throw in a pinning kit. They are only a littel over $100.

I kept my stock balancer on my 6 rib setup even with a forged bottom end, that is until I upgraded to a 8 rib setup and yes my mechanic pinned the crank and I would hope yours is as you would have a big chance of your balancer moving forward or slipping and that is not a good thing. Slap in a set of TR6 plugs that is what I use

I still have the stock balancer on my forged bottom end as well. I did pin the crank when I installed the supercharger. Have had this setup on my car for over 4 years now.

A cooler plug would also help and a tighter gap on the spark plug too. What kind of dyno numbers are you putting down with your setup now?
