the only issue is that the over the axle piece is 3" inch not 2 1/2 " to hook up to my stock x pipe

The stock Z has an H pipe(2 1/2" ). I have LG long tubes, bolted up to 3 " x pipe. My ti's and my BB Bullets bolt up to the 3 " x pipe.

Most likely they neck down to 2-1/2" right at the flange. I have the 3" LG X pipe that comes with their header system and that is how they are made. Bolted up with no issues.

90% of the header systems neck down to 2.5" right before the flange. It IS an option to have all 3". I know LG, SW and AR for sure make them both ways.

To my knowledge, th eonly 3" flanged exhausts were the LG big 3 and the Stainless Works unit.

If B&B's, Ti, or Borlas bolt right up, it's a 2.5" flange.
