seatbelt retractor

The lower retractor on the passenger side of my FRC stopped working.Where can I buy a new one and how hard is it to install.

I think it's federal law for a lifetime warranty on seatbelts of all cars.

Check into that, I think the dealer may fix it for you.

EDIT: SCRATCH THAT, IT MAY ONLY BE FOR HONDA-ACURA, NOT FEDERAL ON ALL CARS.

Wayne....Before you spend your hard earned money on a new retractor or whole system, use the search engine. Seems to me that you have a common problem that can be resolved in just a few minutes. Mine stopped working on the drivers side and I spent a fortune at the stealership having them put in a new one, then found out I could have fixed it myself for nothing.

After reading the links posted I went out to the garage and fixed the seat belt.I just wanted to let you guys know that your advice worked,and to thank you all again.

Bumping this thread, because whenever someone can save me a trip to a wrench, or God forbid, a dealer, I feel like I broke the bank at Vegas.

This worked perfectly for me today, after my passenger side seat belt locked up yesterday, and it's great to have a site like this to seek out fixes for common ailments!

Took me 9 minutes, start to finish.
