Paint Protectors

I am getting little paint chips from the tires on my 01. I have seen te painted to match mud flaps in some of the magazines. They are contoured to flow with the car but is realy a mud flap. Anyone used these? Do the look ok on the car? A regular flat mud flap looks bad to me. Hoping these will look better and save the paint.
Any opinion will help. And I know everyone has one.

I'd rather put the clear bra type stuff on it.

the ones that fit right over the paint? Do they look good and do they protect well?

Applies like vinyl but its clear.
