Default AC light

I new to Corvettes. I just bought a 99 coupe, I've only had it for a few days. I have an issue with my AC digital read out.

For some reason it has gone out or I somehow dimmed it to the point that I cannot read it. Is there anyway to control the digital read out brightness?

Thanks.

Common problem. The solder joints on some of the chip resistors in your hvac controller tend to fail and need to be resoldered. Do a search for "dim hvac" and you should find lots of reading material. You can attempt the fix yourself, or remove your controls and send the unit out to be fixed.

Its an easy fix if you can turn a wrench and run a solder gun. Was the first thing I posted about when I got my new 2000, there are several links on how to resolder the components, Ill post them if I can find them.
