Default Installed antifreeze overflow tank problem

OK, I just received a hydrocarbon antifreeze overflow tank and installed it using on old tanks sensor, now I'm getting a message that the level is low on the dash. I called GM service and they told me I can't reuse my sensor that the tank should come with one.
I never heard of not being to do this.
Can someone please give me some advice, what am I doing wrong that I keep getting this message

Thanks
Bruce

Are you sure your coolant level is full?

Parked Level

Is there any way to clean the sensor to the overflow tank?

Had a similar issue a few years back. I added a bottle a " water wetter"
and it seemed to fix the issue of the sensor not reading correctly.

You may have a damaged sensor or connection issue. Also a NEW tank is not that expensive.

I have this issue as well. A buddy of mine at the local chevy dealership said the sensor gets gumed-up. He told me they use toilet bowl cleaner to clear the gunk off. Remove the tank, swish around the cleaner, rince, more cleaner, rince very well, install. I have not done mine yet as there are more important things I need to do first...leaky butt!

Interesting way to do it, but if it works, that's what matters. v

I'm going to give this a try first thing tomorrow, I'll let everyone know if it worked

Its not a matter of getting a new bottle, my bottle has hydrofiber CF don't want to go back stock

Default upside down

It is very easy to put them upside down. compare it to another vette if you can, and see if it is in right. I had that trouble when I changed my tank. took me a while to look at another one and find out it was in wrong. Good luck.

You wouldn't have a picture of it installed correctly and compared incorrectly, would you?
