Default HELP! How do I fix my window leak?!

The passenger side window leaks from the top corner by the A-pillar. It leaks right by the corner and I can't figure out how or why.

I tried searching for the TSB write up but it only explains taking off the molding and putting some sort of compound on the inside. Also mentions only trained techs should do this to not screw it all up.

Before I get in there with a hot glue gun this weekend and REALLY screw things up, is anyone out there able to lend a little advice on what to do? Is there a screw some place that I can turn to tighten the seal?

I know the previous owner of the car had problems too because I have a service bill for ALL new weather stripping. Rediculously expensive too!

Here's the problem area marked in red:

Edit: Also, when I take off the targa top, my car will 'tinkle' on me from the a-pillar on the driver's side under hard acceloration. I suspect there's a clog maybe but have no idea how to clear it.

I don't know if this will be the answer for you or not, but I understand that there are some adjustment screws for window "tip in" located under the reflector on the bottom of the door panel.

Had it in my 01, dealer repalced all the gaskets for over $600.00. Leaks stopped.

Look in the C5 Tech section in the sticky. It details leaks and how to fix them and should help you out.

I agree with the window adjustment! I would try that first before spending the money on new seals!

Here's the window tip-in procedure:

Perform minor height and tip-in adjustments as necessary:
Window fully UP.
Remove large access plug (under front of door).
Loosen window regulator front channel mounting nut.
Remove reflector from door panel.
Loosen jack screw jam nut.
Adjust tip-in with jack screw (clockwise = outward).
Tighten jack screw jam nut.
Lower window.
Tighten window regulator front channel mounting nut.
Raise window, check alignment.
Reinstall access plug & reflector.

So since turning it outward is clockwise, I should tip it in towards the driver side to get a better/more snug fit against the molding? Or would tipping it outward make the window more snug?

I have the same problem on my 97. Did the window tip-in and still had the problem; replaced the roof side weather stripping; still had the problem. Finally after a suggestion here on the forum, treated my weather stripping with dielectric grease and the problem pretty much went away. I did all the weatherstriping but concentrated on the area where the roof meets the weatherstripping at the a-pillar. I also think someone told me there is a roof adjustment too but don't know if that is back, front, or both.
Good luck and let me know how you make out with it.
