I have a lowered 99 with stock suspension, I was looking at Hotchkis sway bars and Bilstein shocks. I don't race but like to play hard sometimes. My other thought is 2004 Zo6 shocks and 2004 Zo6 sway bars,GM parts will save me some money,Does anyone know how close these two setups are to each other. I am not changing springs.
I disabled the F45 feature on my 99 coupe and installed HD Bilsteins. They really work well. You might try just the shocks and see how you like it. Then add the sway bar if you feel that's not enough.
I have a stock-suspension 97 and just ordered the C6-Z51 bars from Gene Culley (supporting vendor)- I read lots on the forum and gathered the z51-s are the best all-around for a street driven C5. Maybe someone else will confirm this but I think the Bilstein sports are actually a shorter stroke and work better with lowered Vettes - HD's might raise the ride height slightly. Sports are my next mod.

HD Bilsteins don't raise the height. I can't even get a jack under the rocker panel and it's set to stock height.

Thanks Rob
The Hotchkiss bars are an improvement over the Z bars and the Bilstein Sports are the way to go with a lowered car. I've run both stock Z bars and shock and now the Hotchkiss and Bilsteins. Big difference.

Ive read a lot about rear shocks being to stiff and rear end stepping out on exit , even on small bumps.I don't mind a tight suspension but really don't like one that jars you on every bump .
