Titus, I think I got it at Joes, but Freds or other such places have them. They are just a few rubber "plugs" and the needle tool to punch them in.

Been lucky and never shredded a non-run flat, but I did pick up a nail.
I carry a pair of needlnose, a plug kit and a 12 volt Air Compressor that I picked up.
Pulled the nail, pushed in the plug and filled.
Got it patched when I arrived home from the trip.

Keep in mind that a repaired tire loses it's speed rating after the repair.

Kumho T13590D17 tire, I can't find this tire even on Kumho's website. Is this a 135-90-17 tire? I would like to put a road tire on my GTO spares for racing, but not a limited mileage spare and preferably not an expensive racing only tire (M&H). On the 15in to save money, people use a 15in VW tire, like a 165/65/15, but I don't know of anything like that on a 17in. Any info?

I chose to buy a GTO spare and have the 5 mounting holes @ 120mm centerline diameter re-machined to 120.65MM (4.75 inches) to match the C5 hub stud pattern. A lot of folks use the wheel as it is. The tapered holes will clean up when milled by increasing the depth of the hole by approximately .040 inches. The i.d. of the wheel also needs to be opened up by .040 or .060 inches to clear the front hub. I made mine .003 larger than the hub so the wheel is perfectly centered and can't move around. I also replaced the GTO T14570D17 tire with a Kumho T13590D17 tire to match the diameter of my stock rear tires (P27540R18) so the positrac wouldn't get confused. You do need to turn off the traction control if you use the spare on the front since it will be larger than the front tires. I went to the salvage yard and bought a $3 scissor type jack from a late model car. I carry the jack ( with a pin welded on top to fit the tie-down hole in the frame side rails, a 19mm (3/4") socket and wrench for the jack/wheel nuts, and a 2 x 8 x 20-something cut down to fit in the storage compartment in back (I have a coupe) in case the flat tire makes the car too low to get the jack under the rails. I made a tire hold down bolt that mounts in the bottom of the storage compartment and comes up through a grommeted hole I installed in the storage lid. The spare is held down to the floor with a nut and washer and covered with a custom fit carpeted cover. I have around $200 in the set-up.

Slime is the only brand of tire sealant that claims that they won't damage TPMS sensors. Below is taken from the FAQ from their website

http://www.slime.com/faq.html#answer_1111

My vehicle has a TPMS device; can I use SLiME?

TPMS STATEMENT OF COMPATIBILITY

As leaders in the tire care and repair industry, Accessories Marketing, Incorporated (AMI), the manufacturers of SLiME Tire Sealant wish to address the mandate set forth in the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation (TREAD) Act, passed in the fall of 2000. In response to this mandate, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) established the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard that requires the installation of Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) to all vehicles by September 1, 2007.

From our findings, and after significant dialog with the leading manufacturers of TPMS devices, SLiME Tire Sealant will not damage TPMS devices. We understand TPMS manufacturers have conducted extensive testing to ensure their sensors remain operational after exposure to any chemical fluids that might come into contact with the sensors. This includes after market products, such as SLiME Tire Sealant. AMI has also conducted independent testing, which supports and verifies SLiME Tire Sealant’s compatibility with TPMS devices.

Currently, there are two types of TPMS devices available: Direct and Indirect. SLiME Tire Sealant’s TPMS formulation is compatible with all TPMS systems. However, it is important to note that once installed, Slime Tire Sealant may come in contact with the sensor in a way that renders the sensor TEMPORARILY inoperable until it is properly cleaned, inspected and re-installed by a tire care professional.

Because SLiME is a water soluble flat repair treatment, it is easily removed from the tire with water. At the time the affected tire is inspected by a tire care professional, they should clean the sealant from the tire, prepare the area and repair with a Rubber Manufacturer’s Association (RMA) approved patch/plug. The TPMS device should also be cleaned off with water to remove any sealant which may have come into contact with the device. Do not use any fine objects to ream and clean the small pressure sensor opening as it may damage the electronics. After the repaired tire is replaced and inflated the TPMS system will resume operating as normal.

Please note that SLiME is recommended as a REPAIR for all Over the Road (OTR) applications.

In regard to the Kumho T13590D17 tire, The "T" stands for temporary as for spare use only. It was not on their site, but had it when I inquired. M&H is the only "skinny" speed rated tire that I found in a 17" tire and had a slightly different rolling diameter.
