Does the dual climate control unit not regulate the air on the passenger side automatically? It almost appears that the passenger side temp adjustment **** is an offset from the set point the driver uses.
The display does not seem to show a set point for the passenger and I cannot locate an air temp. sensor on the passenger side.
I believe the passenger side can only be set to be warmer than the driver's side, not colder. If you set the driver's side to 60 or whatever the lowest setting is, then the passenger side setting is disabled.
I was under the impression that the passenger side **** regulates the temp +/- 5 degrees off what the driver side is set at. So if your blasting air at 75, the passenger can go up to 80, or down to 70 by turning the ****. I might just be talking out my **** though
I was trying to convince myself that turning the passenger side **** to full hot reduced the amount of air coming from the associated vents on A/C, but was unsuccessful. I really did not see enough of a difference to say so.
Glad others have the same opinion.
The DRIVER **** changes the temperature on the
driver’s and passenger’s side of the vehicle. Turn the
**** clockwise to increase the temperature and
counterclockwise to decrease the temperature.
Whenever you turn this ****, the temperature will be
displayed for approximately five seconds along with the
current fan speed and air delivery mode.
When adjusting the temperature, start with a driver-set
temperature of 73F (23C) until you determine
your comfort zone. If you choose 60F (16C), the
system will remain at maximum cooling and will not
automatically adjust fan speed or air delivery. If you
choose 90F (32C), the system will remain at
maximum heating and will not automatically adjust fan
speed or air delivery. Choosing either maximum setting
will not cause the system to heat or cool any faster.
Turning the **** past either maximum setting has no
effect on the operation of the system.
Passenger Temperature Offset
The PASSENGER **** changes the temperature on the
passenger’s side of the vehicle. When the **** is in the
12 o’clock position, the passenger’s temperature is the
same as the driver’s. Turn the **** clockwise for warmer
air on the passenger’s side, counterclockwise for cooler air.
If the driver-set temperature is set at 60F (16C) or
90F (32C), turning the passenger **** has no effect
because the system is locked at a maximum setting.

I'll try this on the way home as I never noticed a difference either. Of course anytime some rides with me the climate control is not the topic of discussion.
