Well, it's been a long time coming, but I finally pulled the trigger and am now the proud owner of a Vette.
It's a black, 02' Coupe, a4 and it's stock. I couldn't be happier with it, which is pretty obvious by the fact that I've put a little over 300 miles on it in just 5 days of driving
I'm still a vette virgin. Jealous! Great car. Any regrets about not getting a Z06? I'm torn between my ego and my budget.
Nope, none at all. While I like them and respect them, I have no need for one. Like you though, I did fight with myself for awhile about getting a higher mileage Z and just rebuilding the motor, but realized that it may end up being to much car for me, plus I don't want to drive a stick in rush hour traffic around here. With all that in mind, I just kept an eye out for something within my budget, and think I did a damn good job. I got a 1 owner car from FL with just over 34k miles on it

What'd she set you back, if you don't mind my asking?
Congrats on an excellent purchase and what will be an emotional treasure. Your Corvette will bring you so much more than just transportation.
I've been having to drive my Corvette as a DD for over two weeks now while my real DD awaits new tires. Mine is also an automatic and it has been a real pleasure during the drive to and from work. Enjoy yours.
