Do not waste your money!!!!! They crack a lot sooner, take away from the surface area of the rotor, wear out your pads quicker and don't stop you any quicker!!!! Trust me, it's a waste of time and money!
If your only driving on the street, you won't get any noticeable performance gain. Stay with the stock rotors. If you want better brake feel, go with SS brake lines, high quality brake fluid and pads.
my stock rotors are warped so bad when i hit the brakes the car hops like it has hydrolics...looks are little important but not a huge deal, so what should i do, hawk street pads, ss lines and that blue brake fluid all sound like things im gonna order with them
Somewthing about "cheap" and Corvette on the same sentence or subject, that I don't like. When it comes down to Vette, cheap is not part of the vocabulary.
I narrowed the choices to: (1) Baer Eradispeeds (nice, but expensive and prone to cracking and warping on heavy use and not covered by warranty for this); (2) GM cross drilled and slotted rotors (will rust and this is not covered by warranty, but can be helped by taking them to an aftermarket vendor for zinc or nickel washing or plating); and (3) Powerslot rotors (slotted, but not drilled, and shaken, but not stirred).
I went with the Powerslot as they are not supposed to rust, look nice and shoud be durable and better performing at the track.
The #1 problem with the stock rotors is that the black paint on the hub gets hot, flakes off and rusts (which looks terrible).
