Default top problems

I have an 02 c5, the top has spider web completely inside, and the tint is coming off the outside, it seals well, and the rubber is as new. It does not leak and the unit works well. Can the exterior be re-tinted or something? I know I will have to live with the spider cracks inside.

Are you sure the spider web cracks are on the inside? Can you run your fingernail across them and feel them?
Most of the time, the spider webbing is on the outside and you can see it through the top.
Two options:
1. Sand it down and have painted black or body color.
2. Sand sand sand and sand some more, then re-clear the top or polish out the Lexan itself.
There are instructions here if you search for re-clearing the top. Basically, you have to sand off the clear coat, then work with progressively finer paper, wetsanding it back down to get all the scratches back out. Then either have it re-clear coated or polish it out.
It's a lot of work, but will look as good as factory when you're finished.

If you want to paint the top, I've got a couple of files that will give you an idea what is involved. If interested, PM me your e-mail address and I'll forward them to you.
