Default TPMS sensors

Anyone know of a good source to buy these at. I have a 99 that has a bad sensor and need to replace. Just called the local Chevy dealer to me and was quoted $177. There must be a better source out there for these. I have read you could pull them out and change out the battery but don't want to mess with that.

Thanks.

Gene Culley a member and supporting vendor on the site, search the forsale sections and you will find him. also there was a post just recently about Costco selling Bosch replacements for under $50.00 but I havnet read if there is any truth to that one but if you have a Cosco close I would check it out our nearest one is 3.5 hours away. good luck

Edit I found Him for ya $95 bucks from Gene

Corvette Don here on the forum can rebuild them for less than you will spend for new ones and they will be just as good as new. All they need are new batteries. I used to do them, but I no longer have the time to do it.

If one has gone out the rest are not far behind. I'd do the conversion to the 01-04 sensors, fobs and receiver and be done with it

Why not replace your own batteries (there is a video on Youtube ) you can do all 4 for about $30 , plus breaking down the tires.

Sorry, I should have told you to call them. They don't show them on their website but they definately sell them. I purchased mine from them along with tires & wheels. The lowest price I have seen to date. I just checked my invoice...59.00 ea. for the early years. Mine is a 99. They are less expensive for yrs. 01-04. So call them!

Just called Discount tire. $95 for a 99 sensor, $58 for 2001+
Wonder why the newer ones are less expensive. Whats the difference.
Best price for mine (99) I could find is $89. So I bought it. Will keep the sensor and swap out the battery on it for the next one that goes out.
