Default Tire help

I'm getting ready to purchase 18 x 9.5 and 19 x 11" rims, I have someone willing to sell me some slightly used tires, 285/30/18 and 295/35/19. Will I have any problems mounting these on a C5 (rubbing, etc.)
Thanks for any help in advance

I would say you will need a smaller tire for the front, It seems to me that 285 is too big for a 9.5 wheel....

The 9.5" wide wheel is the minimum recommended width for the 285-30x18 according to the chart that I consulted. You should be okay on these sizes, assuming you have the correct backspacing and offsets on the wheels.

Size: 19x11 18x9.5

Bolt Pattern: 5x4.75

Offset: +64 +54

Backspacing: 8.52 7.38

Would this be the correct offset and backspacing.
thanks for your help

295's perfect for rear, but 275's would be as wide as I'd go on the front.

I'm also getting ready to order tires for 9.5x18 and 11x19 setup. I'll be getting 265/35/18 front and 305/30/19 rear. I was told by another forum member that the OEM specs are : Front 54mm offset, 7.375" backspace. Rear: 58mm offset, 8.033" backspace. Thats alittle different from vett.mix's post. I told the folks at IForge that I wanted an OEM setup on my '01. They assured me the set up wouldn't rub or sit out side of the fenders.
