Average Oil Pressure ?
What kind of oil pressures do you folks have when your engine is heated up and at say 35 MPH and what is it at idle? I was wondering what the average is with a LS-1 350 ?

Idle 28 PSI hot hot hot, Over 50PSI @ 4000rpm
Idle can be as low as 14PSI according some posts I've seen here, I'd say 26-30 PSI is normal for hot idle, and @ High RPM is should be well over 40 PSI, search in Tech there are many threads about this.

When my oil temp. is above 160 degrees or so, I never see less than 33-35 psi, and it increases with RPM.
Hot here today too. My oil temp got up to 208, and my oil pressure was still 32 at idle.
Valvoline Synpower 10W30 oil.

just checked today. It is very hot, so my oil temp was at 216. In park at idle was 23psi. Going down the road was at about 40 psi. If I pushed it down enough to downshift it went up to over 50 psi pretty quick ( I did not run it to redline, just a little downshift). I beleive idle out of park is higher as everythign is engaged, hope this answere your questions!
