Looks like the terrible 1214hc code, how do I remove it??

go to www.absfixer.com-he has instructions. Disconnect connector and remove 3 screws is basically it-I had better luck getting to everything from underneath.

Maybe you have already checked this, but don't just assume it is the EBCM module. There are some posts indicating you should check your grounds first.
