Yesterday, I was getting in my car and notice a little guy (about 3) with his mother. He had a coke cup almost as big as he was. She opened a door to a store, but he was stopped entralled with my Vert. Just stood there big eyed. She said, "Come on." He didn't budge except to raise his arm, finger pointed in a hook way and said, "What's that?"
So, I growled the mufflers a couple times. Not too loud, so as not to scare him. He just stood there, hooked finger pointing, with Mama holding the door to the kids store.

PS: Later I was again getting ready crawl in, when this 11-13 year old came running over with his camera. He quickly tried to take a picture. I asked if he wanted me to take one with him in it. "Yeees." He stood next to the Vette, kind of stiff. My wife said, "Lean over a bit like you own it." He leaned, but still pretty stoic. I took his photo and we were on our way. He was still standing looking at the photos on his camera.

I remember the moment I fell in love with Corvettes. It was after seeing my uncle's new white with red interior C3 in 1972. Compared to the big boxy metal Detroit was producing in the early 70s and the econo-cans coming out of Japan, the Corvette was absolutely futuristic and stunning in comparison.
