Gentlemen, I'm new to the Corvette family and hope to rely on you all's expertise and knowledge for the cars. I must fist say that I am a Camaro guy and never really looked at the Corvette as a car I ever wanted to obtain. I was looking to buy a new Camaro in the next couple of years as a weekend car and leave it at that. Then on my 30th birthday my Dad called me and said he was going to give me his 90 Vette as my gift. At first I was reluctant to accept and even graciously declined the offer due to my lack of knowledge of the car. Needless to say, after jumping on this site I got the itch to take on this car. The car looks good for a 90, but could use some work. I looked forwad to this project and will be dropping off pics as I go and hope to obtain some helpful knowledge from some of you along the way. Cheers!

First off welcome to the Corvette ownership...
I think you would get better results to your questions if you posted this in the C4 gen seeing that your 90 is a 4th gen Vette and not a 5th.
Again. Congrats.

Nice gift from your Dad. You'll like the C4 - it is a fine car and will provide you with a lot of great driving time. Best of luck getting the car updated.
