I only recently became a Corvette owner and purchased a MY 01.
I want to start dressing up the interior, but find the Yellow combination can become annoyingly bright. I want to "tastefully" add some simple accents here and there.
I would love to see some photos of Yellow and black interiors for ideas.
Thanks
Red line makes some yellow stuff which ist as close to a "color match" ( I think they call it Dark Yellow)as the Vette Essentials...and so not so much of an assult on the eyes....
Nastz's car does look nice....but its approching saturation
The yellow Radio Bezel looks never did too much for me
..Ive played with the idea of doing a "Mod Yellow" conversion using the same material that Ive got with the Redline stuff
Center console cover
and door pulls
Leather seats with steering wheel cover (most don't use), handle wraps, shift and e-brake boots, and console cover, can be had on here for less than $700.
Why not choose another accent color, like gray? It's almost impossible to make yellow accents look tasteful.
I think 2-tone interiors can look very nice but prefer Not using the exterior color. Black/grey would be a good tastefull choice wiithout overdoing it.
thanks 6 shooter, in the body shop right now finishing the exterior of the car I added some side skirts tunnel ram and a aci front splitter.
I just did a search looking for a members interior he had done by vette essentials I couldn't find it but it was in black leather grey leather and carbon leather with yellow corvette logos on the seat that looked amazing too if you did not want a lot of yellow but something very classy

Consider keeping your interior all black, but have all of the stitched products in yellow. BTW - when Vette Essentials uses yellow, their rendition of the color is right on, where as some of the others might be in the ball park, but not an exact match.
Like this....
You could do the same thing with the steering wheel, and the seats. It's tasteful without being over the top.
I don't recall ever seeing anything yellow in your interior, but it's been a while since I've seen it.

This is the way forward if you want to use yellow on the inside! Some custom yellow gauge faces could be tasteful as well, but they need to look factory.
I just switched from black / yellow (i am the one that sold MYLS6 his new pieces) to black / red. I really like both setups, but the black / red match my new seats.
I personally think the heavy 2-tone is a bit strong and wouldn't have it in my ride. I prefer the more low bling approach, but can certainly appreciate the time / money / quality of those that do go that route.
You need to go to the big car show in PA and look at the hundreds of MY cars. After you do that...you'll decide that less is more. Unless you have the big bucks for some custom seats and and the really nice stuff; the "trinkets" usually just don't look that great. I was on the train myslef for buying all the yellow stuff and once I went to the show...I was healed!
Yea its tough. I bought a 2 tone shift boot black/yellow and I never installed it because it looked tacky IMO...seemed like a good idea at the time. Recently in my search for some items I picked up these pieces... made by redline
not sure if you can see the pics but after seeing this I was like yup this more my style...
Very nice! I like the subtle stitching contrast verses the 2 tone myself.
I did all my interior black with the Mag Red stitching, but went wild with the carbon fiber. It's not for everyone but it's for me!
Thank You. I think I am going to stay with the less is more.
1. Yellow Dash Decal (passenger side)
2. Yellow Steering Wheel Decal
3. Yellow Piping around active handling on the center console
I am undecided about the door pulls. I like the completely replacement ones, but dont want to take apart the door. I found these two tone one from http://www.redlinegoods.com.
Has anyone put the wraps over the door pulls? Are they a tight fit?
PM Evil_C5 he has the best yellow accented interior I have ever seen Lots of Black Leather, Black Alcantara, some yellow accents and a little carbon fiber.
