VaraRam C5 filter cleaning
I'm looking at buying the VaraRam combo.
How do you clean the filter? Water, air, special fluid?
If it can't be cleaned, can you buy a K&N and put in it?
Does it work in the hard rain?(I live in FL, with massive rains)
I found an old thread that says that a K&N will kinda fit, but doesn't mention if the green VaraRam one is cleanable.

the green filter vara ram sells if cleanable like a k&n, personally I would love to find a paper filter that would fit my v-ram. there is a reason chevy quit using k&n type system back in the late 60s, I think they are all hype and no proof to back up claims, plus they can let oil and dirt into your engine quicker if you are not absolutely correct in the oiling process.

I have a K&N in my VR setup.I use the cleaner that comes in the filter recharge kit( cleaner + oil).Works good.I rinse it out with hot water & blow dry with the yard blower.
I clean the filter when I change oil,every 4k.
