There is an art to it, especially the back window. I've always just taken mine in and let a pro do it - figure if they mess it up, they have to re-do it at their cost.

I see so many cars on the street that have window tints that are simply awefull - full of bubbles. I really suggest a professional installation.

Default dont try this at home!!!

dont try tinting your windows at home!!
I actualy just got my 99 FRC tinted today
I sat in the shop while they did it. Although they made it look easy there was alot of heat forming the tint to the glass and shrinking in the corners of the glass. The side windows even had to be heat formed as well
Just pay a pro!!!

not worth whatever you think you're going to save in $$. chances are you will never get it as right as a pro and it will wind up costing you to get it done right eventually anyway.

When I had mine done, the shops owners son did it. In fact he and his girlfriend did it. I'd never have been able to do what they did. They made it look so simple, he even used a straight edge and skimmed off just a hair, here and there so it wouldn't be effected by rubbing up against the rubber weaterstripping at the top of the windows. I thanked him and her, and she said after you've done 50 or 60 of them, it's pretty easy to know what works and what doesn't. They were both in their early twenties and said if your young, ya gotta watch you don't go with too dark a tint, but since I'm 58 they said I'd be safe with 35% on the side windows, but anymore in PA is running the risk of being turned down at state inspection time. It took them about 50 minutes to do the whole job. Cost $135.00 Very fair price.

I tinted the windows around my house, mostly square, a few "half moons," and they came out excellent, but when I looked at the Vette, that back window screamed, TINT SHOP PROFESSIONALs!
