Just put my 02 Z on the dyno today to see what it would do. Here are the results with only a K&N panel filter:

nice, I added a halltech to my 03 Z, and was looking for numbers, I wonder if a tune could hit the 390 mark?

I dont think a tune with an intake alone will reach 390wheel hp.. hook up some long tubes and get a tune

I think I am going to roll with dynatech supermaxx long tube headers and a tune. Hopefully it can get me close to 400hp.

That's cool. I'm still new to the Z world. I didn't know if 390 was achievable or not with an intake and dyno tune.

The op said he might do headers. Would it be worth it to do headers/ xpipe with stock ti exhaust?

The stock TI is pretty good from what I hear, I would befinately do headers and x with higher flowing cats even if i was leaving the stock TI on. Catbacks are mostly for sound anyway.

Those are typical to good numbers. I think standard is 350-360. My 02 Z06 was about 360/355(I don't have the original dyno sheets) with only the zip tie mod.

I now have LG long tubes with cats and Halltech stinger. That got me 380/380. Including the tune that's about $3000 for 20 hp and 25 trq. Or, $3000 for a 5% increase in power. Keep that in mind before you go on a hp quest. 5% is barely noticeable. It just feels a little more peppy, that's it. Maybe it sounds a little better too.

Congratulations, you have a good motor with good performance. Be happy and have fun.

Hey
GREENEYEMONSTER:Max Power = 366.79 Max Torque = 357.57
nice numbers

My '04 Z16/Z06 with Vararam,Powerduct,Melrose LT's, Random Tech's "X" pipe and hi-flow cats with tune made 385hp (Mustang dyno)
at StraightLine Performance Would this equate to about
404 hp on a Dyno-Jet? That's about a 5% bump

Thanks
Jim

Spend $100 to port your TB also and you might get into the 390's, it usually takes a cam to get into the 400's unless your dyno is very generous.

That's what ive been tryin to tell these kids on here. That's not much increase in HP for the $$$$ spent, even if you got the $, it's not even a noticeable amount of power. Not worth it for street drivin.

I think your right; I have a strong motor, and I will stick with what I have. I’ll add a few cosmetic mods here and there. I always say, live the dream while it lasts, and drive it like I just stole it!
