Was watching Pass Time the other night,,and they had a C5 Z06 with what looked like a Magna Charger poking through the hood,I think he was running 6# boost. He had a tune and a few other goodies, with drag radials. He got good bite off the line,, made a clean pass(no missed shifts,,and ran a 12.08.Don't remember,,think it was in Texas. While it was not a BAD E.T.,, I was thinking he should have been in the 11's with that setup. Am I wrong or should his E.T. been a little lower??
I missed that episode. Some of the times I think some cars should run, they dont. I have seen chevelles with 400 horse run 11's. 1000 ft. maybe, but not in the 1/4. I cant figure out how they are timing some of these passes.
If he had a good e.t. then his 60' foot time was probably in the high 1.9 2 range; definetly related to traction. I would also expected a close to 130 e.t. with a good tune.
Its all in the 60ft and traction, that car or any vette with a s/c with a good 60 is very capable of a lowwwwwwww 11 sec pass@ over 125 mph, And ive seen Ken many times get his butt beat, the show isnt rigged in anyway.
It always blows me away to see someone with crap loads of power go on tv or the street and not have good tires to hook the car up

Not rigged,,saw a little gal beat Ken,,,Right about dinner time the have repeats every day,,and in the St. Louis area another one about 10:30,,,and have seen lots of people win. The Z had drag radials,,while they don't give 60 ft. he left ok,,that's what made me wonder,,as last spring I had a 2.0 60ft,hith all the gears good at 6,000 and turned a 13.08(110.23) with an almost bone stock( only a blackwing and corsa touring cat back-stock H) 2000 FRC on Goodyear run flats. I thought he should have run quicker. Only hinky runs I've seen on the show were at Area 51 raceway,,where people not familiar with the track saw something that made them think they were at the traps and back off,,when in reality it wasn't the finish line and they were shutting down early.
Most people who run at drag strips can't drive. It seems like ANY street car on pass time runs as bad as it can possibly run. They look for the handicap drivers who drool on themselves while waiting in the staging lanes.
The SC ZR1 runs 11.1 with over 600 HP. I would say with a pretty much stock engine, that was a good ET @ 12.08 because depending on atmospheric conditions, that could easily be an 11.5 run, or close to it. The times they post, are they corrected?

I'd probably be doing a little drooling with that little cutie Page too while waiting in line:t humbs:

Like the show but too many repeats. Most cars run weird times. My favorite has to be the Dodge Stealth with 32 lbs of boost and AWD, Ken says 'holy crap' as it runs 9.61 @ 160
