Pedal Height?
With only a quick visual inspections I didn't really see a way to modify the height on either pedal.
If any one has any insight as to how to "level" the pedal out Please! fill me in.
Seriously though, I DO know people that have removed the pedal arms on several different vehicles to cut and weld for a different angle to get the pedals at correct height. Even on most automatic tranny cars the brake pedal is so high, it takes an extra 1/4 second, OR LONGER, to lift the right foot, and THEN move over from the GO to the STOP, detrimental to safety in my book, compared to an easy and much faster side movement. Decades ago I had a Lotus Europa and had all the pedals adjusted for proper operation....Every other car I have had since has been a bear to adjust, or has required cut and weld to fix..US engineers don't seem to have understood yet how to use one's feet properly in brisk or aggressive driving, so they don't build cars properly set up at time of design....
One should have the brake and throttle pedal relative height set so that when you have a foot ON the brakes, as in slowing down hard, you can use the right side of the shoe to angle over and blip the throttle to match revs for down shifting....This also implies tight hydraulics [ no soft rubber hoses, only braided SS covered Teflon flex lines] and pad clearances, so there is very little brake pedal travel before getting to the desired stoppage....If the travel is too long, then the pedal relationship goes away, in that if brake has LOTS of travel from static rest to working position, the resting position must be a lot higher than the throttle. So, if you want to do the proper and easy throttle blip for rev matching, this goes against not having it too high at rest, for quick foot movements...There is usually some compromise that can be reached, and any good race car prep shop can do the job, as this sort of thing is real basic in a race car.
GOOD LUCK!!!
