The other night I rolled forward into a parking space curb bending the driver side crashbar. It is like it pushed it backward. While nothing in leaking and you can't see it without looking under the car. IT BOTHERS THE SH&T OUT OF ME. Are these hard to replace? I understand they are about 300$ for a new one. What is with the thread inserts that you have to buy? Better yet has anyone else done this so I dont feel like a complete tool? Can anyone send me the procedures to changing out this Support? I am in the military and have an awesome autohoppy shop to work in with almost everytool available.

I assume you are talking about the Front Impact Skid Plate??
You are not alone! I didn't notice it was bent when I bought my Vette, so I have to replace mine also!
