But it looks like I won't be getting a vette after all. In case some of you still don't recognize my username, or just don't know me, I am not a vette owner, but thought that I might have one within the near future (a year or so) but circumstances have changed and I won't be getting one.
I want to thank all of you for answering any questions I may have had over my few months here, and I hope any small contribution I've made has been valuable. I learned a lot about the history and the legacy of the Corvette while on the forums, and I also got to see a whole lot of great rides!
You can probably guess why I'm making this post at 3:45 AM, it's because I just can't sleep. It's really hard for me to accept this and I'm very heartbroken about it. I wanted to be one of you guys so badly! I wish I could have experienced the things you guys talk about just day to day. And I swear to you, if I would have ended up with that vette, I would have waved at every single one of you!
Well, thanks for reading, hope I can still lurk around the forums every once in a while.
If owning a corvette is your dreams, then you will have one. For most of us here, a corvette is not only a dream but a passion in our lives. I finally boght the vette of my dreams & have been fortunate to do with it what I wanted. Never give up on your dreams. NEVER.....besides, dreams are one reason to live. Good luck & I know we will here from you one day saying "I finally got a vette."
You didnt fill out your profile, so I dont know how old you are....Cant imagine you are older than I was when I got my first Vette....43....Good things come to those who wait.....and work for them
If you want something never say "I wont be getting it or I cannot have it." When you do that it usually comes true and you will never get what you want. The beauty is it works in reverse as well!

Don't give up, it will happen. I had to wait until the kids grew up to get my first Vette, now they have kids of their own and looking forward to their Vette.

Don't give up on owning a vette. Look, it took me 3 years to finally pull the trigger and it was well worth the wait. I think I enjoy it even more, since I had to wait so long. You never know what will happen in he future. It may take longer than you anticipate, but as long as you keep your eye on the ball, it will happen. Don't loose hope.

I waited until I was 49 - and I wanted one since I was four years old. Sometimes, you just have to wait. Obviously it wasn't meant to be right now....so you will wait until the time is right.
As was mentioned - never give up on your goal. Things don't always go according to plan, and just because it doesn't - shouldn't mean that you give up.
This is largely a forum of Corvette enthusiasts. You ARE one of us!!! You DO NOT have to own a Vette to be an enthusiast!!!
Stick around, learn, teach, enthuse (sp).
hang in there man, dont let the world come crasing down on you just yet. Keep your chin up and keep working towards it, there are alot of people in the same situation as you now days. The strong ones will pull through and achieve their goals and dreams! you are one of us either way!
