Back window broke
I had my 04 coupe outside all day today. A neighbor came over about 5pm and asked what happened to the back window. I looked out and it had broken into about 10,000 pieces. Nothing hit it. Anyone else have this happen?

A guy posted up once that in very cold weather he turned on the rear defroster and it shattered. Haven't heard about hot weather.
Have you gotten any quotes on replacment costs? Curious to know the dollar value.

Sorry to hear this happened to you.
It can happen, however it's quite rare.
Basically what could have happened is that one side of the glass was in the sun and the other side in the shade creating two very different surface temperatures. The glass being tempered is very strong against a straight on impact, however the twisting / flexing caused by two different temperature extremes on the glass can cause them to break.
