I had my 04 coupe outside all day today. A neighbor came over about 5pm and asked what happened to the back window. I looked out and it had broken into about 10,000 pieces. Nothing hit it. Anyone else have this happen?

Sorry to hear this happened to you.
It can happen, however it's quite rare.
Basically what could have happened is that one side of the glass was in the sun and the other side in the shade creating two very different surface temperatures. The glass being tempered is very strong against a straight on impact, however the twisting / flexing caused by two different temperature extremes on the glass can cause them to break.
My back glass shattered on a rainy day after I turned the defrost off. My '02 sat in the garage for 8 days until the new one came in. Insurance paid almost $1,300
